Demystifying Data Archiving: Finding A "Forever Home" For Your Work

Join hosts Hector Escobar (Social Sciences & Data Support Librarian), Ben Daigle (Director - Information Systems & Digital Access), and Maureen Schlangen (E-Scholarship & Communications Manager) for an interactive workshop Nov. 6 in Roesch Library that will share information about what research data is, reasons researchers share it, boundaries for sharing, and ways to make it accessible around the world.

The event, set for noon to 1 p.m. in the Scholars’ Commons, Room 245, will explore common data types; reasons researchers choose to share data; and options for making the data openly available both internally and externally to UD and in compliance with federal funding agency requirements.
